Die Probe No. 22 von McClelland lag eine ganze Weile bei mir im Probenglas…ich hatte ihn bereits einmal geraucht, fand ihn ganz gut, aber zu der Zeit habe ich für reine Virginias noch wenig Liebe übrig gehabt....

After I liked their „JackKnife Plug“ quite a lot, I was looking forward to get to try this blend, as it seemed to me like a less smoky, due to the addition of Perique more peppery version of JackKnife...
Gawith & Hoggarth… a house known for countless rope tobaccos, Lakeland mixtures and also their „Kendal“ blends. Sadly unavailable in Germany, I was lucky to get ahold of a sample of some of their ropes and mixtures.
Zu ihrem 150. Jubiläum hat die Firma Vauen sich mal was ganz anderes als sie sonst so produzieren einfallen lassen! Wenn auch Vauen-typisch aromatisch, ist der Schnitt des „TAB150 (Jubiläums Edition)“ mal etwas besonderes für Vauens Sortiment.
Auf meiner jährlichen Fahrt zum Nürburgring zum Oldtimer Grand Prix kommt man, wenn man aus dem Süden anreist, an Koblenz vorbei. Koblenz ist unter Pfeifenrauchern bekannt, denn dort ist in der Altstadt das Pipe House zu finden. Als Pfeifenraucher kann man dann natürlich nicht einfach an Koblenz vorbeifahren.
